After a succesful 2007 season in which the team was able to overcome early troubles to finish in 3rd place, this year will be another challenge coming up, like most seasons for the youngest team, there is always players moving up to the older teams or new kids arriving.
After last year was spent as an alliance with the Wiesbaden Flyers, when both teams together named themselves " Highway-Kids" aiming at the Highway seperating both their playing fields. This year the team will again be called the Main-Taunus Redwings, still supported by the kids from last year, after they came over from Wiesbaden when their youth system was shut down. It is good for all the kids as they can again play together.
It will be interesting to see how the team will be able to integrate the new kids and if they can build on last year´s foundation and repeat their succesful regurlar season.
The Redwings-Coaches Fabio Peruzzi, Mike, Mosier, Richard Hilgart and Matthias Breu will be handling the coaching situation together and are currently looking into starting a Tee-ball team for the upcoming season, when the Redwings will have their own field.

The Bad Homburg Hornets , Hünstetten Storm, Neu Anspach Eagles and the Dreieich Vultures will be old counterfeits, while the Darmstadt Whippets , SG Heblos/Fulda Blackrabbits and Kassel Herkules will be new opponents for this season.
Most important for the kids of course is still having fun and enjoying the game and teaching them team spirit.
All three All-Stars from last season will be returning to the team, as Lukas Morneweg, Marco Peruzi and Dominic Wildenhain will be asked to carry the team after being part of last years Hessen South All-Star team.
Marco Peruzzi was also named team MVP and Florian Kaufmann, last year´s Rookie of the year is also returning.
